Basically, Meg relies only on herself. She was brought up to be independent, and believes that you cannot trust anyone like you can trust yourself, so if she wants to get something done she does it her way. At least this means she can take care of herself quite easily. Meg appears to be very confident, outwardly anyway. It is very rare that she will be shy, no matter who she’s talking to.
She’s guarded to the point that it’s ridiculous. She will not show her emotions, or speak about her problems. Often whatever she’s showing on the outside is nothing like what’s going through her head. No one ever gets to see the "real Meg." She's afraid of being hurt and, so, never lets anyone get close to her.
People who have no sense of humor whatsoever would probably find Meg to be a terribly cynical person. She's sarcastic and has a sharp tongue that has often gotten her on people's bad sides. If there is one thing she can do, it is reply to absolutely anything creatively and quickly. She has yet to meet a wit to match her own, but she'd be very interested in doing so.
Meg isn't what one might call the most friendly of people. Of course, she doesn't turn down any sort of company or conversation, but she always manages to drive people away, either with her never ending insincerity or her obvious sense of self preservation. Anyone can look at Meg and talk to her for about five seconds and they'll know that she never lets anyone in. Luckily, if someone does manage to speak with her for an extended length of time, she's a pretty good (and witty) conversationalist.
Though Meg is the first to push any and all feelings away, all she really wants, like any girl, is to be swept off her feet. Even Meg, when she was younger, believed in fairy tales and, just like everyone else, she wants her happily ever after. Unfortunately, the wall of cold, emotionless wit she's built up is hard to break...but if only someone would try.
Why do I want to play Meg? Well, there's lots of reasons. She's always been my favorite character, out of all the Disney movies because she's just so refreshing. ^^ She also reminds me a lot of myself, in the guarded and cynical sort of way. I've had my heart broken before, and I understand where she's coming from. I actually have really, really bad trust issues. ><; And well, I have a very cynical outlook when it comes to people. xD Plus, if you've ever heard me speak, you might hear a hint of Susan Egan's voice there. Perhaps I'll share a video of me speking some time with you all. ^^;
Roleplay
Megara had been thinking quite a lot recently about the past. Mostly about how foolish she had once been, all for some guy. Love really did make you do crazy things. It was ridiculous! Selling your soul over to some god for someone you love, being forced to do whatever they so desired and being stuck under their control for who knew how long. Yeah, she had been there, done that, and hopefully would never be put in that position again.
Of course, the girl couldn’t help but wonder what exactly had happened with the Lord of the Dead every now and then. She didn’t care for him much, at all, ever... But really, had she ever truly been completely freed from him? He had taken her in as his minion, doing whatever bidding he wanted her to do. All because she had given her soul to Hades to save her beloved, who had in turn gone off with another woman. Deep down she had always wondered if Hades had something to do with that, but never dared to ask. Sure, he had given her away as a bargain with Hercules, but had her soul ever really been freed?
It wasn’t just that, though, which had caused her to think of the certain god. No, he had constantly haunted her dreams, her thoughts, her memories and her past. She had never really been freed from him in that sense. Though how she wished she could...
