“Now I know I jus’ passed by that big ol’tree a few minutes ago”. Hands on her hips as she stared puzzled at the dark wooded frame of a twisted tree, Tiana came to a halt at it’s large roots. It was an eerie sight to behold creepy even, a Macabre blot on the otherwise colourful landscape. In appearance the tree was almost black with heavy graining all over its withered bark. At one point it must’ve stood tall and proud but now it was a shadow of it’s former self, bent over to one side like a spectre, haunted. Whatever had happened to the tree had had a knock on effect to the area around it. On either side of her the trees stood tall and proud, but around the ghost tree, stood nothing, everything dead and baron.
“Mah Daddy mighta passed on his cookin' skills to me but I sure didn’ get his directional skills. I know I’ve been here before, I just don’ know when…”

Her warm chocolate eyes lingering on the spectre for a few more moments, Tiana, unsure what to do now she’d found herself back where she was so sure she’d started from, dropped down onto a fallen tree trunk and folded her arms.
“What did you say Tiana? ‘Don’ you be following no white rabbits today girl, remember what happened with the frog!’ But no, I had to go an’ ignore mah own advice”. Sighing she placed her chin in her hands and stared out at the obscure plant life surrounding her – or rather surrounding her and the big old dead tree looming behind her. Lord that thing was creepy even though she couldn’t see it right now, it being behind her, she still felt like the damn thing was watching her, almost as creepy as that dancing shadow man. Almost.
“Well ain’t no good sittin’ around here and sulkin, I better find myself a way home fast or I got a feelin’ that big ol’trees gonna get me.”

Getting to her feet again, she brushed the loose bark from the back of her yellow dress and did a 360-degree turn, scanning the area.
“Question is, which way do I go?”
