~~~Who I am Inside~~~
What is your character's history? Are they a hero, or a villain, a sidekick or guardian? What has happened to them in their lives to make them the way they are today?
Princess Aurora was born to King Stefan and his Queen. Both were overjoyed at finally having a daughter, and all the kingdom came to celebrate. The three Fairies came and bestowed gifts upon the baby. Just as the last fairy, Merry-Weather, was about to give her gift, a terrible entrance was made by Maleficent, who was furious at not being invited to the ceremony. As revenge, she gave a curse that Aurora would prick her finger on a spindle of a spinning-wheel on her sixteenth birthday, and die. The royal couple were most upset, but Merry-Weather gave a gift that the child would not die, but only sleep, until true love’s kiss awakened her.
With heavy hearts, the King, Queen and the Fairies decided the only way to keep Aurora safe from harm until the sixteen years passed, was to move her away from the castle and royalty, and live somewhere secluded until that day. The King and Queen agreed, and watched as their beloved daughter was taken from them.
Sixteen years passed, and in that time the Fairies had raised Aurora as their own, naming her Briar Rose, and acting as her Aunts and Guardians. They had brought her up well, and Rose was a lovely, polite young woman. One day, the Fairies ushered her out of the cottage they were living at, so they could prepare her a surprise party for her birthday, which is that day. On her travels through the woods, she came across a young man, Prince Phillip, who had caught the attention of her singing. Little do they know, they had met before, when ‘Aurora’ was just a baby. They end up walking and dancing through the woods together, and fall instantly in love.
A bombshell is dropped when Rose gets back home, however. It is her sixteenth birthday, and the Fairies reveal to her that she is a princess, and she is already betrothed, which means she couldn’t be with the man she had met earlier that day. Distraught, Rose burst into tears, refusing to accept she is royal, even when the Fairies dress her in royal clothes and take her back to the castle later that evening.
Alone in what now is her bedroom in the castle, Aurora comes across a mysterious green light, putting her into a trance, which leads her up to an attic in a secret passage. The light becomes a spinning-wheel, and she pricks it, evidently falling to the ground, and presumed ‘dead.’ Of course, the green light was from Maleficent who reveals herself after Aurora falls.
After a tiresome battle with Maleficent, Prince Phillip finds Aurora, and notes with happiness, that the princess is the same girl he had met earlier that afternoon. He kisses her and she immediately awakens, smiling as she sees him. They come down to the throne room together, where Aurora is re-united with her parents in a tearful reunion. Her and Prince Phillip then dance together, completely lost to each other.
Describe your character's personality. What are their strengths and weaknesses, what are their passions? What qualities do they have that are good or bad?
Sweet, charming and just downright lovely, Aurora is someone you'd want to be around for a long time. She is very gentle, and caring, and, despite being a princess, views everyone as equal and never tries to look down on anyone. She has a very determined streak, and likes to do things independently, even though she wishes she could have more friends, as y’know, living in them middle of nowhere isn’t helpful.
She isn't all that, though. Aurora can be quite cunning and sly underneath it all, making the best out of a bad situation and can get others [notably, the three Fairies] to reveal things without them thinking about it, though she’d never do it for personal gain. However, this comes with price. She is incredibly naïve, whether it comes to meeting people or becoming used to being royal, which leads her to being easily mis-lead, hurting herself and others in the long run.

Aurora wandered through the woods slowly, taking in all the beautiful things around her. Oh, how she had missed this world, this way of life, for so long. The palace was alright, she supposed, but it could never compare to this. The blonde princess had secretly missed this way of life, since...well, ever since her au-...the three Fairies had taken her away from it the fateful night.
Her face became somber as she realized that had never referred to the trio of women as her 'Aunts' since all this had happened. She loved them like they were family, and to find out they weren't had crushed her. A bluebird suddenly flew down in front of Aurora, tweeting at her in a melodious fashion. Her face brightened as she held out her hand for the bird to perch on, before replying to its call with a melody of her own. She loved the forest animals, as they had been the only friends she'd had during her time as 'Briar Rose.'
Briar Rose. For some reason, Aurora still wished she could be known by that name. She loved her parents and Phillip dearly, but something was missing back there that could only be found here in the solitude. With a sigh, the blonde mused aloud;
"Oh, I am happy that I have my parents back, as I truly do love them, but I cannot help but feel that I was made to be here. It was my home, after all, and a lovely one at that."
