Test: This ruthless villain and cut-throat has always seemed to be in Neverland. His previous origins are unknown, but what is known is that the name Captain Hook is feared across the seven seas. His goal in life is to rid the world of Peter Pan, a ten year old boy who cut off Hook's hand and fed it to a crocodile. The croc seemed to enjoy this morsel immensely and follows Hook's ship around like a lost puppy, waiting for the rest of the Captain. It is no wonder why Hook fears the ticking of the clock inside the croc, because he knows that one wrong move could have him end up inside the belly of the beast. Hook spends his life trying to kill Peter Pan and his Lost Boys, not to mention Pan's new accomplices, Wendy, Michael and John. And of course evading the crocodile. His hobbies include, obsessing over the many ways in which to kill Peter, and playing the piano
Captain Hook would be a fantastic character to play. He's this suave, conniving swashbuckler who is an absolute legend in Neverland. And I sympathize for him, because while he is absolutely feared by his crew and the Lost Boys, he gets laughed at and shown up by a ten year old in stockings. It's just sad, really, especially when Hook has worked so hard to maintain his reputation as an evil man and at the same time try to deal with a ten year old boy who flies. Yeah, the flying thing? I think that's the only reason why Peter is really still alive. The gimmick with the pirate flag? It was a cheap shot. Fight him one on one, Pete. We’ll see who comes out on top.
I think that Hook is a great contribution to the group of Disney villains as he is considered a key Disney villain, being one of the early animated ones. Acting him is interesting to me because I’d enjoy making him the perfect evil gentleman. My hat's off to you Hook and I'd offer you my hand, but I'm afraid you'd take it.
Roleplay
Inside the Captain's Cabin on the Jolly Roger, Captain Hook was slumped forward in his chair, staring down at a map, though his thoughts were far away from the locations in front of him. Mr Smee was busy bumbling about the cabin, gathering all the accessories he'd need to give the Captain a shave.
'Well if you don't mind me sayin', Cap'n, we've outdone ourselves today.' Smee put down his towels and a kettle to make a hand gesture of him aiming a gun, the tip of his tongue sticking out of his mouth as he did so. 'All that lootin' and plunderin.' The crew'll certainly be enjoyin' today's spoils for a long time.'
Hook glanced up at Smee, a sullen look on his face. 'Throw it into the ocean; it's worthless to me.' He rose from his chair and trudged towards his bed.
Mr Smee was so startled by Hook's remarks, he dropped a bottle of ointment. 'The Ocean! B-b-b-but Captain!' The crew would most definitely not be happy about this. Smee stumbled twice on his rush to get over to Captain Hook's side. He took hold of his arm and pat the back of Hook's hook.'Now Cap'n, that's not like you to waste away a solid day's work. Why don't you sit down and tell me what's bothering you.'
'What's bothering me,' Hook mumbled. 'What's bothering me?' he repeated a bit louder, glancing up, his temper rising. 'What's bothering me-' Hook shouted, pulling his arm away from Mr Smee with such force that the first mate fell forward. '-Is the same thing that has been bothering me ever since I arrived in this blasted place.'
Captain Hook reached down to pull Smee up by the collar and shoved his face up against a porthole. 'Peter Pan is out there-' he dropped Smee and flapped his arms, while speaking in high pitched tone, '-flying free, when he should be in Davy Jones' locker!' Hook finished with a growl.
With a prolonged sigh, the Captain brought the back of his hand to his forehead and began to pace around his cabin. 'It's not so much the defeats that bother me, Smee. It's just that he's so blasted happy whenever he does win!' Which was always.
Mr Smee sighed as well and began to clean up the spill he'd made earlier. 'It does get tiresome, Cap'n. Can't be healthy to be so happy. You'd think even he would get depressed.'
Hook's eyes snapped open and he lowered his hand, a delighted grin sweeping over his face. 'Depressed! THAT'S IT SMEE!!!!' He clapped Mr Smee on the back. 'We'll make Peter Pan so depressed he won't stand a chance against me.' Sinister laughter overtook whatever words he had wanted to say next.
'That sounds like a fine idea Captain, but... but how are you going to do that?' interjected Smee.
'Ahhh,' said Hook slyly and wrapped an arm around Smee, drawing him close as if he was about to reveal a secret. 'The one thing that brat loves most in this world is himself. And when does he get to hear about himself? Through stories. We'll kidnap every child who's ever heard a tale about Peter Pan and with all the children gone there will be no more windows for him to visit. He'll be devestated.'
A dark chuckle left his lips while Mr Smee absorbed everything Hook had just said.
'Rouse the crew, Mr Smee! And prepare to set sail for London!' A devilish smirk crossed his face as he picked up his hat and placed it on his head. 'We've got him this time.'
How did you find us? Link on the Disney site I rp on. It was advertised by one of the rpers who plays both here and there.
What do you think of us so far? It’ll take some time to get used to having non-Disney characters around and breaking canonical law, but I’ll adjust. I love the rules, and think the structure is all right. I’m impressed at the total number of members acquired in such a short amount of time.
