~~~Who I am Inside~~~

What is your character's history? Are they a hero, or a villain, a sidekick or guardian? What has happened to them in their lives to make them the way they are today?

Sarabi was born in the Pridelands to one of the more respected lion families. From birth, her parents had arranged for her to marry the son of the current king and Queen. As she grew Sarabi she was not really sure of all the responsibility she would have when she was a queen but that all change when she began spending time with Scar and Mufasa's family. She was shy so instead of asking questions she would observe the queen and king silently not stepping out of line much. Sometimes she would get in trouble for not behaving like a future queen would but she was just a child. She would often sneak off on her own just to have some fun It was not till she was a bit older did she understand the queen's role to the full extent.

It was never hard for her to fall in love with Mufasa, he always treated her well and in their adolescent is when she realized how their childhood friendship easily developed into love. It was not long after they became mates that they had a son which they named Simba. Sarabi loved both her husband and cub with all of her heart. She loved being a loving wife and mother. She knew sometimes Simba felt her to much of a over protective mother but as her cub grew Sarabi gave him more freedom, (to a limit)it was something she regretted after the stampede.

That day had to be the beginning to the terrible like she began to have after. The stampede in the gouge killed her husband and son, or so that she was told. That one day change her so much, she when form having a happy life and expecting a wonderful future to feeling like she had nothing to live for anymore. Sarabi being the queen of Pride Rock could not just lay down and let the pride have no guidance. She trued to stay strong but Scar saw her as vulnerable and took full advantage of the situation. Scar took over pride rock as king, thinking he was the rightful one now thaqt Mufasa and Simba were both dead. Sarabi objected to what he was doing and made that clear but but in time went by, he made thing a whole lot worse. She began to fear him and was too scared to stand up to the him.



The pridelands became dry with the lack of rain and the grass dried up causing animals the lions used as a food source to leave. The other food they were lucky to get was eaten by the hyenas causing the pride to become weaker from starvation. Sarabi thought all was lost but that was until Simba returned Nala had found him in the jungle and from the first moment seeing him Sarabi had hope for a better future.


Describe your character's personality. What are their strengths and weaknesses, what are their passions? What qualities do they have that are good or bad?

Sarabi is what you would call a strong willed lioness who is strong willed and stands up for what she believes in, she had a strong moral grounds and often looks for what is better for the whole group then for herself. She is kindhearted, caring and loving. She is seen as a pillar of strength in the pride and always lived to what was expected from her. Love has has to be her greats strength that helps her keep going even in the hard times she has had in her life.

Other Aspects of Sarabi personality is fear, hate, emotional weakness. Scar's tyranny and take over of the pride made Sarabi hate for him grown so much more then she thought could ever happen. The longer Scar ruled the more fearful of him Sarabi got. Though she would make her distaste for what he was doing evident, the more power Scar seemed to get the more terrified Sarabi got. The more she tried to stand up top him the weaker she began to feel but she would never let him hurt another member of the pride, Sarabi would often stand in the way and take all of the physical and emotional abuse.

Give us a small sample of how you will play your character. Please don't copy a scene from their movie, and give us at least three paragraphs.

Life was different for Sarabi now, she no longer felt longer the strong lioness everyone thought she was. She felt as she was a push over and she could not help but hated herself for it. Waking across the dusty barren land that was once green and lush, Sarabi thought about the old days when everything was better, everyone was happy and food was plentiful. That had been a long time ago now, and she often hated herself for it, she felt if she was not such a push over Scar and the mangy hyenas would have not caused so much destruction. She knew that losing her little family had caused her to become weak, it was so difficult being a pillar of support when she felt lost.

Fatigued by hunger, she laid down in the yellow dust taking a few breaths before letting her head rest on her large cracked paws. The hot dirt burned her feet and made her throat dry it had not rained for a while which did not help the pride's problems much. A few tears spilled out of Sarabi's brown eyes and moisten the grown in front of her, she cried so often now that s even happening anymore. She often wished she had been the one who died and in her mind felt if Mufasa was still alive the pridelands would still be flourishing.

As the last of Sarabi's tears seemed to fall from her eyes, the pain in her her began to subside a bit but no matter how many tears her eyes shed the whole in her heart would never be repaired. The loss of her loved ones caused all the love she once had to turn into hate, hate for Scar, hate of the hyenas and a hate for life. Looking up into the sky Sarabi spoke. "Why did you both have died? Why couldn't it be me."

Why this character? What draws you to them, what makes you want to play them? Do you have anything in common with them?

I have played Sarabi before it had been quite a while but the reason why i like her is that she is kind hearted and cares for others. what makes me want to play her again is that i miss rping Disney and i would like pt get into it again. The one thing I think i have in common is that i am quite kind and caring and try to help other in need.

What would you like your custom title to be? This can be anything you like in reference to your character and will appear under your name.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

SO my real name is Natasha. I am 20, I live in Canada, I currently work at a Vets Witch is both difficult ans rewarding at the same time. I live at home with my dad and my little sister. My mom left him over a year ago so i live with him to help him out. I love movies, i go almost once a week, I also like reading. I have a Dog named Jack he is a 1 1/2 year old lab hound. I also have a rabbit names twitch who is five and a kitten...well he is not kitten much any more he will be a year in may.

I named my kitten Eleven he was both by 20th birthday present and my fist time really giving a animal a chance in life. He was one of 11 from the shelter that where there ot be put down because of over population. I could not see a 3 moth old kitten put ot death. I would ave loved to save all the kittens but I couldn't. I am glad I saved him though he is so adorable and i can't fall asleep without him now.

Okay the ap looks great so far but just needs a little tweaking in the personality, History and RP sample sections. What you have is good so far but it just needs a little more expansion.

Okay; Personality:

1. She's a bit Mary sue-ish at the moment, being all perfect and not hating anyone, she hates the hyenas and as for Scar she puts up with him because she has no choice and the rest of the lionesses need her to be strong, their relying on her to hold firm under Scars tyranny. I can guarantee she dosen't like him and she disagrees with everything he's done so far. She hates the way he's running things and Shes not afraid to confront him as we see in the film. She'll tell him what she thinks even if he doesn't want to hear it. Expand on those, don't be afraid to go into detail, Sarabi is a very strong female character.

2. She's absolutely heartbroken because she lost her entire family in one go, so expand on that too, how would you feel if you lost you're entire family? Translate it into Sarabi. She puts on a strong front because she knows she needs to, Scar has the other lionesses scared and they see Sarabi as a pillar of strength.

3. Okay you have that she's a mother at heart so you should translate that into her ap more, talk about how she's not afraid to share the responsibility with Mufasa on the days she wants a lie in (She says to Mufasa in the film: "Before sunrise he's you're son") and add how she trusts Simba to a point but shes not stupid enough to allow him to go off on his own, she sends Zazu off with him.

At the moment you have a good base for her but it just needs more expansion. So have a look at the points I've made and have a think about them and then add them to the ap in your words.

History

The History is good but it's more of a general summary then an insight into her character so add a little more depth to that too, expand on it more, have a look at this ap done for Scar: Be Prepared...for Scar

Its good but should look more like this:

A few tears filled her brown eyes and began to travel down her fluffy, buff colored cheeks, she wished the stamped, the 'accident' that took the two most important beings in her life had never happened'.

So just keep an eye on those okay!

Okay i changed a bunch of things

You've added to it, but it doesn't quite meet what was requested of you. It's far too general for acceptance, and we require that you work harder on it. Imagine if a person who had never seen The Lion King read this - that person wouldn't know squat about Sarabi because of how bare it seems. It lacks depth, and she does not have a soft spot for Scar. She really doesn't.

It just shows me that you haven't quite read the application Emz provided in the link. There's more to Sarabi than meets the eye. Do us a favor and really edit your post to fit these guidlines:
