~~~Who I am Inside~~~
What is your character's history? Are they a hero, or a villain, a sidekick or guardian? What has happened to them in their lives to make them the way they are today?During the year 1910, Adelaide Bonfamille’s house cat, Duchess, gave birth to a litter of three in their home in Paris, France. The second kitten to be born was Marie, a white kitten who looked remarkably like her mother. During the first few weeks of her life, Marie become a very pampered pet. She was taught by her mother to act the part of a lady. During this time, Duchess taught her kittens to mind her manners, to be civil and not start fights, as well as other things. Marie thought her life was perfect. And it was. That all changed in one night. As usual, Edgar came in to feed Duchess and the kittens. Marie ate up, getting her full, while have a quick conversation with her friend Roquefort. Shortly after, she fell asleep.
Falling out of a basket, and landing in a tree, a clap of thunder presumably woke the kitten up. As her mother pulled her out of a tree, she stated that she thought she had a nightmare and must have fallen out of bed. Her mother pulled her out of the tree and put her down. Marie then assisted her mother in finding her siblings. The first found was Berlioz. After he was found, they found Toulouse. He claimed that Edgar had sent them her. But surely this wasn’t true. After this conversation more thunder came. With one really loud clap of thunder, and the coming of the rain, the four went to the basket that they happened to be near.
When the morning came, Marie woke up to find a strange orange cat talking with her mother. “How romantic,” the kitten said, and she popped out. After a little more conversing, this cat (whose name was Thomas O’Malley) put them on a tuck, which he claimed was a flying carpet. Marie fell off, he came to her rescue, and instead of him going along with his life, Mr. O’Malley ended up helping the felines get home. The driver of the vehicle and O’Malley got in a spat. This spat forced the kittens and their mama to have to get off their “flying carpet”.
After a bit of walking, they came across some train tracks. The kittens ended up playing train, Marie being the caboose. As they continued on their way to the other side of the bridge (and ultimately Paris), a train came. Everyone got down. Marie’s attempts failed, and she ended up in the water. Once again, O’Malley came to her rescue. After that, everyone met the Gabble twins. The Gabbles offered to take them to Paris, as they were going there themselves to meet their uncle Waldo. The group walked waddled (they were, after-all, told to think goose) to Paris.
The group met Uncle Waldo, and continued on their way. They were getting close to their final destination. Despite how close they were, it seemed everyone was tired. Instead of making it all the way to Madame’s house, Thomas took them to his ‘pad’. There Duchess and the kittens met his friends, had a little party, and sang a few songs. After that the kittens went back to sleep. The next morning, after being refreshed by a good night’s sleep. They continued on their way. They were about to enter Madame’s house, when Edgar scooped them up and threw them in the oven. While Edgar distracted Madame, Roquefort came to talk to then. Duchess sent him to find O’Malley, and he went on do so. When he left, Edgar got them ready to be shipped to Timbuktu. O’Malley and the other cat’s came in and fought off Edgar while Roquefort undid the lock on the trunk the cats were in. Edgar ended up in the trunk after the cats got out, and was promptly sent on to his way.
Since then, Marie has lived a happy life with Madame, Thomas O’Malley, Scat Cat, and all of the other alley cats.
(i would place her under heroine- just saying)
Describe your character's personality. What are their strengths and weaknesses, what are their passions? What qualities do they have that are good or bad?
Marie is an aristocratic kitten, who wants nothing more than to be a lady. She does her best to portray that she is such. She minds her manners to the best of her abilities. No matter what the situation, Marie tries to act mature. However, she is easily provoked into acting like a child. Her brothers bring out a less lady-like side with her. With them, she tends to ‘end’ far more fights than a lady should ever ‘end’. As stated before, Marie tries to act mature. The truth is, she is just a child, and would be lost without her mother there to guide her. Like most kittens, Marie depends on her mama. Without Duchess, Marie would be lost. Who else would teach her the way a lady is too act. Despite her young age, Marie is a hopeless romantic. She loves any and everything that has to do with romance. She wants someone to sweep her off her feet, and treat her right. She has standards as to how a lady should be treated. She believes that a lady should be treated with respect. There are also hints that she thinks that being female makes her superior. However she could never prove this. She is far too weak, and far too prone to being a damsel in distress.
~~~That's How You Know~~~
Give us a small sample of how you will play your character. Please don't copy a scene from their movie, and give us at least three paragraphs.
Marie wandered down an unfamiliar street. Where was she? Surely she wasn’t in
“MAMA! MAMA!” she cried out. Surely her mother was here somewhere. Right? Of course right. The small white kitten continued to run down the path, trying to avoid the feet of people. She wouldn’t want her tail, or even worse, her whole body to get stepped on. She was also running to try to find someone she knew. She rather disliked being a stranger in a strange new place.
Once again she cried. “MAMA! MAMA!” Where was she? And then a thought struck her. Although her mama wasn’t her, it was possible that her siblings were. “BERLOIZ? TOULOUSE?” her high-pitched voice rang.
As she was walking, a car, much like the one that Mr. Georges Hautecourt, had, only far more unusual, splashed some up some mud. This mud ended up hiting the poor kitten. She cried out, and found somewhere to hide. She was not at all enjoying this. She was lost, alone, and dirty. This just wouldn’t do. The kitten set out to clean her self, a few tears rolling down her face.
~~~You and Me Together We'll Be~~~
Why this character? What draws you to them, what makes you want to play them? Do you have anything in common with them?
I love Marie. She is so adorable. Granted, we don't have much in common. But that's part of the reason I want to play her. She's so different than how I'm like. I'm used to playing characters more like me. Playing someone, or this case, some kitten, that has a personality that's almost the polar opposite of mine would be a refreshing change of pace.
What would you like your custom title to be? This can be anything you like in reference to your character and will appear under your name.
I'm a {lady}, that's why!
I'm a {lady}[/colo], that's why!
Who else do you play here?
It's Eilo biatches.
