Character name: James Norrington

Appearance:
James stands at about six feet tall, and he has dark green eyes. When he was in his late twenties James had light brown hair. Which he usually tied back with a black ribbon to take it out of his face and out of his way while working. When he got older, his hair turned white. And his hair grew a little longer, still holds it back with a ribbon though.
The Royal Navy Uniform is dark blue, gold and white. He has a few weapons on either side of him and his job requires him to use them for whenever their needed. James is also seen using a sword when needed. The sword is handmade by William Turner. He receives many of them for his work, which he uses most. James really likes using the swords.
He is also carries a Smallsword cutlass. Which he barely uses, he uses the pistol a lot, and other weapons that his job offers him. He takes them and cares for them with great pride. Always has it with him at all times. He wears many layers of clothing, but he doesn't mind it.
Personality:
James is very strict when he's working. He is always working very hard in his job. He tries to do the best that he can and get a higher rank. James cares only for Elizabeth. He loved her in the past and still does. Though he knows they would never marry now. Considering he heard their engagement.
William Turner is indeed a fine man but he doesn't know how well Elizabeth would be with her. He was very heartbroken when she turned him down from his marriage proposal to her. He hoped she would have said yes. James is a very friendly man for that matter. He tries to help those in Port Royal. That is his job to help those in need also to save them. James saw the love in her eyes, for William after he cornered Jack with his men.
He doesn't like seeing those he loves get hurt. It depresses him when he doesn't save those he loved. James is also very soft spoken, and well mannered. If you ever have a chance on meeting him, he won't let you down. James is very kind, and will help anyone who needs it.
History:
James Norrington was born and raised in Port Royal. His father was in the Royal Navy and was Admiral at the time of his birth. His mother stayed home a lot after his father left to leave for the Royal Navy. James was just a young boy when he left. He rarely saw his father and missed him terribly.
There were most days when he was a young lad, that he never got see his father as much as he saw his mother. Knowing his father was hard at work for the Royal Navy. James helped his mother a lot at his home in Port Royal. There in his early twenties he decided to go off into the Royal Navy himself.
His mother wouldn't have allowed it though. She knew it was far too dangerous for her son to go out into the Royal Navy. James was the only child in his family, and she didn't want him to get harmed or hurt. For she would be heartbroken. His mother told him that it was dangerous. And she knew it was dangerous, for she knew her husband was killed in the Royal Navy she didn't want that to happen to him. But he calmed her down and told her he would be safe. Knowing he would do well and keep her proud also his father.
Years passed, and he became Lieutenant. James was on one of the ships, he had. Also aboard the ship was Governor Swann and his daughter Elizabeth. She was only about nine years of age at the time they first met. Very well spoke at that matter. He thought she was quiet charming for her age, but never thought of marrying her. James did become friends with her though. As James wondered off, Elizabeth gazed into the water. There she found a young boy. He looked like he was passed out or dead, shouting she called to the crew and James about the boy.
James rushed to the side of the ship to rescue the little boy. He noticed he was still breathing which was a good thing. The governor, asked his daughter to look after him. James got the name from which Elizabeth stated was William Turner. Apparently he saw a ship that was caught on fire, from where the boy came from. No one knew at the time where the boy's father was or where he was.
Many years later, James was becoming commodore. His mother would have been proud of him from all the hard work he did like his father. He had asked the governor to attend the ceremony in which he would be presenting a sword to him for him to perform with. Now as Commodore and a high ranking gentleman, he still looks towards Elizabeth for her to becoming his wife, but now sadly that could not be. His mind is also still on that Pirate. Jack Sparrow. He wishes to have him captured, and hanged.
Why:
I would like to play James, because he's awesome. He was also my other favorite characters from the Pirate movies, next to Barbossa of course. James, is also a handsome man and a hero. I'm going to play him from the first movie if that's alright with you people. Also I would like to try him out. Give me some time work him out and I think I could handle it.
Roleplay
It was a beautiful day in Port Royal. Nothing wrong had happened, just yet anyways. The Commodore had his hands behind his back as he walked along the front line of the fort. There he stood for a while gazing out to sea. The sea, was very calming to him it usually helped him get his mind off of things. He felt the wind coming and he looked about his surroundings. All the men were there at their positions.
The wind started to get a bit heavy. Then James remembered he had to speak with Gillete He held onto his hat hoping it wouldn't come off. He went down the stairs and saw an officer, he walked up to him and said. "Tell Gillette I need to speak with him. Its urgent" he told him softly. "Men" he said as he walked by them they nodded to him as he walked down the stairs from the upper fort.
He entered the office, and found Gillette about to walk out the door to him. "Gillette!" he called softly. "Come into my office will you?" he asked curiously motioning him to follow him into the office. They had a lot to talk about. The subject they were going to talk about was Jack Sparrow.
