Sid - The Ice Age Series*

Character name: His name is Sid the Sloth. All of the other sloths except for his family, worshiped him and gave him the name Fire King, Smooth Operator, and Lord of the Flame. However, his friends Diego and Manny the Mammoth think of him as the exact opposite.
Test: Well, too be honest not much of Sid's history is known. However, when the world first see's Sid his is already grown up. Sid is first shown fast asleep, while all of the other animals migrate in droves to a warmer climate. Sid was left behind by his own family for his family thinks of him as an annoyance, when they had left him behind to migrate, and so decided to travel alone without them in annoyance at being left behind. That only proves that he didn't have a family who cared about him what so ever, either that or his family just couldn't take the stress anymore so they decided to leave..either way, what kind of family is that? Anyway, back to the story.
As he leaves the tree, where he slept, however, he steps in Glyptodont dung and is waylaid. Not far off, Carl and Frank are about to enjoy one last meal before leaving to head south, but Sid, not knowing this, wipes his filthy feet on their salad and in the process, annoys them more by unknowingly splattering bits of dung into their face and insulting their intelligence, but to top it all off, he eats the crucial part of their salad: A dandelion. This last act angers them to the point of wanting to kill him. As they are about to, Sid runs directly into Manfred, who saves him, only because Manfred, himself does not wish to see anyone killing out of pleasure. As Sid is saved, he follows Manfred, in spite of the fact that Manfred wants him gone.
Some may ask, why Sid is like that. Why won't Sid take a hint? Well, Sid has never had much friends in his life time, and he felt that Manny was a friend to him because he saved his life.
Manfred and Sid discovered a human infant when a saber-toothed tiger named Diego realizes that his prey has been adopted by two misfits and decided to join the gang to take the baby back just to
get his paws on it. Sid has the ability to create fire. His first attempt did not go so well because rain made his half-stick soggy. It wasn't until later on in the first movie when he created fire by accident while scribbling chalk on the cave wall. He then referred himself as Lord of the Flame. One day he is even kidnapped by a tribe of colorful mini-sloths as they discovered that he could create fire with flint and they hailed him as the Fire King only to try and sacrifice him to stop the flood but failed soon when they realized that he survived they continued to worship him as Fire King and asked him to stay with them but he decided to stick with Manny and Diego. However, what Sid didn't know was they have followed him half way to the destination that they were going.
They seemed to love their King. Sid even came around and dealt with Dinosaurs. However, one of them had eggs and when it hatched he took care of the baby dinos as if they were his own children, then later they went back to their mother. Sid has always wanted to have a family but will that day ever come? Who knows.
APPEARANCE: He walks and talks like a human with ping-pong ball-like eyes, one is bigger then the other. He also has a button looking nose, buck teeth and tan fur. He is talkative and positive, and suffers from a lateral lisp, which makes his "s" and "c" pronunciation rather "wet" or "spitty". Sid is usually always the one getting knocked about and he is considered as the only character with bad karma.
Personality: Sid is rather lazy, cute, funny, and hard to understand because of his lischp. He can get anyone to like him whether they want to or not. He is very caring for people who are smaller than him. Sure sometimes people might think he's weird but that's the whole point of being Sid. He's loveable, hairy, and just plain awesome.
Roleplay
"Manny.....it's your fault you know!" said the Sloth with a weird look on his face. The Mammoth just looked at him and gave him an awkward look. "It's my fault for what?...." he asked. He had no clue what Sid was talking about. Sid just shook his head. "It's your fault that I don't have someone yet!.....But don't worry buddy, I still love you!" he said as he hugged Manny's trunk.
Manny shook his head. "How is it my fault?" he asked. This ought to be good. What was the reason this time. Sid looked at him and pointed a finger and then made his hands into like a scary motion as one of his eyes got big while his other eye stayed half way open. "Well it's quite simple,.....they see me and they want to meet me...but when they see you...they run away because they think you might eat them...but it's ok though! I know your as calm as a mouse....If only I would have told them that your a vegetarian!....Or I could have told them that you only eat insects....No offense!"
Manfred looked at Sid and bonked him on the head with his trunk only making Sid look cross eyed with his tongue sticking out. "You need professional help!" said Manny. He meant it too. He thought that Sid was not all there. Sid looked at him once he shook it off and smiled. "I will let that go though, because your my big fat fluffy buddy. Trust me, there's other ladies out there who want some Sid, and there's enough Sid to go around!....I mean, you...you already got somebody! You got Ellie...I mean shes tons of fun, your not fun at all, she completes you! So you got your somebody, it's my turn!....The Sid is going to get his gal sooner or later.....which reminds me...."
Soon, he was cut off by the mammoth. "Will you please shut up!" but still, he continued. "In a minute....I gotta tell you something! Did I ever tell you about that one time....." Sid was interrupted again but this time, Manfred was even meaner about things. "If you don't shut up I will hurt you!" Sid gave him a look and said, "Fine...fine!....But..you will be missing out.....and when you really want to hear it...I won't tell you! I was even going to tell you the story about how my Uncle Fungus got his name!"
Manfred gave him a super annoyed look. "Let me guess, his had fungus in his hair and he thought it gave him a natural smell!" he said in sarcasm. "Heeeeey, how'd you know!?....I thought Diego was the only one who could read minds.....you can do it too!....I can't believe it Manny...you have the gift! It's nothing to be ashamed of though..However, one word of caution...it's a powerful gift....use it wisely!"
Manny gave him another strange look and at this point was very annoyed. "Enough already....why don't you....try falling on your head to see if you can get any smarter!.." Sid looked at Manfred and took that as an insult and then walked off. He thought Manny was his friend, why did he have to go make fun of him like that. Soon, he came across all of those colorful sloth that he had seen a while back. They looked suprised to see him
They bowed to him, as the pink one put a crown on his head. "Oh, Fire King....you have came back for us! We have missed you oh great and flaming one!" he looked at her and smiled. "Finally, I get some respect!" Manny had actually followed him, and when he heard what Sid had said he felt bad for what he had said earlier. He walked up to him and gave him a apologetic look. "Sid....look, i'm sorry! I shouldn't have made fun of you like that! It was wrong, and I know it must have offended you! I will try to be nicer! Will you forgive me?" Sid looked at him and smiled. "Really? I forgive you!"
The pink sloth looked at Manfred "Hello, we welcome you! Come join us and Fire King in Paradise! Your friend Diego is already here!" she said with a smile. Manfred nodded and decided to go with them in paradise. When he got there, he seen Elle and their baby. Diego was talking to one of the last female Sabertoothed Tigers that survived. Sid however, was with no female but hey at the moment it didn't matter, to him...Manny, and Diego was his family. He made the herd, and he was also the one that holds it together.
"Haaaaaaah.....This is the life!.." Sid said with a smile as he sat on the thone while women sloths fanning is face as he drank some juice.
