Okay! Since this game has come to a grinding halt, I'll just give the answer and allow someone else to take over. The song I was thinking about was "I'm Blue for You, Boo-Bo-Bo-Bo-Boo" from the 1962 featurette "A Symposium on Popular Songs." The lyrics were indeed vague and generic, but that was the whole point of the song; it is a parody of the crooning style. So, a bit of history.
